The opportunity
- AI is changing how legal work is done, priced and supervised.
- Most U.S. jurisdictions require lawyers to complete continuing legal education.
- AI brings recurring ethical, operational, competitive and technology problems, not a one-time course.
- Conventional CLE providers mainly sell hours. ALCBar aims to own a larger category: professional infrastructure for the AI-era lawyer.
- Lawyers are at once customers, subject-matter experts, potential investors and the people other lawyers trust.
The market
There are 1,374,720 active lawyers in the United States (ABA Profile of the Legal Profession, 2025). Continuing education and professional compliance recur every reporting period, and AI adds new obligations on top.

- An application for 1.0 hour of California MCLE Legal Ethics credit for the new Module 1 is pending with the State Bar of California.
ALCBar is at an early stage and shows no sales or user figures yet. Real figures will appear here once they exist.
The business model
